Get Sponsors for Your Fundraiser Event
Locate companies and organizations in your area that are willing to support your cause, and approach them as partners. If you are going to ask for their support, offer something of value in return. Don't make it all about you and your cause, try to focus on building a partnership with them that will also support their business. Bring flyers with you so they can see your vision, and hopefully they'll want to keep some to hand out to their customers.
Ultimately the goal is to find partners who will invest in your fundraiser by sponsoring a section of the event like the carnival attractions. Taking the operating cost off your shoulders will allow you to make preparation of your event easier since your sponsors are helping. Make sure to organize a plan ahead of time to repay the sponsor. Repayment doesn't have to be in the form of money, think about placing their banners around the event area advertising the company or individual who are sponsoring. Companies such as Pepsi and McDonald's have been known to sponsor events of all sizes, no matter how small. Ask for gift certificates, tie-in coupons, and extra discounts to prize winners.
