Increase Fundraise-ability
The bigger the event, the more ways you can raise funds. Think about multiple steams of fundraising happening all at this one event. Include fundraising activities that each draw in funds by themselves. When you add them all together at the end, you'll be surprised at how successful the event was.
Activities like inflatable amusements, face painting, various carnival games, a bake sale and craft sales are what draw people to attendance. Ask your congregation to donate their desirable goods and services and place them in an auction to raise even more funds. Put the word out well ahead of time to friends and local businesses about your auction fundraiser so that people can donate their valuable items for a good cause. Anything you can do to make it easy to bid will help. Group together related smaller items into larger gift baskets and offer those through silent auction bids. Provide bid sheets, pens, and descriptions next to each auction item.
